Product Overview
In its natural molecular structure, hyaluronic acid carries negative charges due to the presence of carboxyl groups, which repel the negatively charged surfaces of human skin and hair. As a result, unmodified HA has limited adhesion.
To overcome this, HA sodium is cationized through a quaternization reaction, allowing it to bind with the anionic surfaces of skin and hair. This modification ensures strong adhesion, even with rinsing, while maintaining HA’s intrinsic moisturizing properties and enhancing its performance across various applications.
